Removing or retaining a child from their habitual residence

Following on from her very successful and informative first webinar Irish-based International Barrister Caroline Langley will outline for the public and professionals how to manage the case of a child taken from or brought into Ireland without the permission of the other parent in two free webinars on 7th December 2022.
The nuances of the Hague Convention will be discussed along with other legal routes available that a left-behind parent can pursue. The webinar will cover countries that are signatories of the Hague Convention, and countries that are not signatories, and special attention will be given to the USA and Canada.
The aim of both webinars is to teach a parent how to manage their own cases and will be a step-by-step guide to bringing their child home.
Alienated Children First are honored to have Caroline present her years of international expertise in assisting left-behind parents to navigate the legal system on their own. Many of the public and professionals are unaware that an abducted child is always an alienated child; and, time is of the essence it is necessary for a left-behind parent to bring a child home as quickly as possible.
Alienated Children First (ACF) has zero tolerance for all forms of abuse including child abduction, parental alienation, and false allegations no matter the gender. We are Children first and a non-gendered organisation campaigning for the best interests of the child to be paramount and that their authentic (non-alienated) Voices be heard in court. ACF, like so many in Ireland, is shocked that thousands of Irish children continue to be eradicated from the lives of safe parents and grandparents for no good reason. Presently there are no guidelines, procedures, or policies in Ireland to define, detect, or resolve parental alienation, let alone to reunify children with their loving non-abusive parents.
Positively we do hope that the much-anticipated report from the Department of Justice recommendations on parental alienation will be effective and result in “the authentic voice of the child” and that it is in “the best interests of children“ no matter the situation.
