When parents are supported, Babies thrive

Parental and Infant Mental Health Matters
From pregnancy through the early years of a child’s life, mental health and emotional wellbeing are deeply connected — for both parents and baby.
Family Resource Centres across Ireland play a vital role in supporting maternal mental health and infant mental health through community-based, non-judgemental, and inclusive supports.
FRCs know that when parents feel supported, babies thrive — building stronger attachment, emotional security, and long-term wellbeing. Early support can reduce isolation, strengthen families, and create healthier futures for everyone.
Let’s continue to advocate for accessible, culturally sensitive, and community-led approaches to parental and infant mental health.
