Non-Violent Resistance Programme for parents that is starting 30th of April 2026.
Foroige Sligo/Leitrim intend to run the Non Violent Resistance (NVR) parenting programme, online, starting Thursday, the 30th of April 2026.
About NVR:
The Non Violent Resistance Programme provides parents/carers with skills and knowledge to understand and manage children’s violent, challenging or abusive behaviour within the family home.
This programme has an emphasis on:
• Influencing a change in the relationship between the parent and the child
• Dealing with difficult behaviours
• Increasing positive parental presence in the child’s life.

The programme will be delivered in group format online for a total of 8 sessions and is free of charge. Following the intake process, dates will be confirmed with parents. The group will start on Thursday April 30th at 10.30am, weekly sessions will last 1.5-2 hours.
